Do you love to skate?  Work with Children?  We’ve got a fun career for you! Join GlideAbility Skating Schools Canada!

GlideAbility Skating Schools Canada is looking for coaches for our year round programs. Paid and volunteer positions available.  If you are or have an older skater looking for their community service hours, we’d love to have you/them work with our Pre-Glider and Gliderbility skaters one on one to help reach their skating goals and potential!

 

Qualifications:

 

• Hockey, Figure Skating, Ringette or Speed Skating experience.

• Level 1 coaching an asset but not necessary

• Police background check

• High Five Certified an asset but not necessary

• Experience working with children and adults in class/camp settings

• First Aid, CPR and completed background check

• Willing to learn new teaching tricks and apply them.

 

Coaching Duties:

 

Deliver Glider Program to specified groups and levels, follow the direction of the Director. Positive learning environments with creative play are what makes the program a success!  

 

Coaching courses available. Training Seminars will be provided for new coaches before a new session begins.
